SL Mods I like:

Here are some SL Mods that have caught my eye.  I copied these pictures from other websites - I hope that is ok, if not then I will remove them.  www.benzworld.org has some really cool stuff.  I think the  pictures of the seats and the steering wheel clearly show how one can modernize our old 380 SL's and give it a timeless look.  These seats appear to look like they were designed for and begs to be installed in our 380SL's.

The Steering wheel is another neat touch.  The more I look at this combination the more I want it.  Course, there is an old saying here in America - 'champagne appetite, beer pocketbook".

The look seems like a natural.  And, those old original Mercedes seats just don't get it when you see this.  Anyone considering reupholstering their seats ought to consider this option.

Wire wheels have always been my favorite.  I once owned a car with wire hubcaps and they were nice to look at but hard to clean.

This is a cool looking SL - same color as mine but it has updated wheels and chrome wheel well eyebrows.  Really nice presentation.

If I won the lottery, I want this too.  This dash, the seats and steering wheel brings the old 1980's SL up into the 21-century.

These seats are it!!   (1 of 3).

Ever seen shows on TV called "Overhauling", "Classic Car Restoration", or "Pimp My Ride"?  If ever they want to take my completely original 380SL and "overhaul it" or "pimp it", this is the way to do it.

If you have not seen those shows, they are on the Discovery Channel and on MTV.  Amazing what people can do to vehicles through customizations.

Some companies who were featured on these programs:

  West Coast Customizations
  WyoTech
